The UAE’s commitment to toleranc e has been institutionalized over the years, with major milestones that solidify its role as a nation dedicated to inclusivity. The creation of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence in 2016 is one such milestone, underscoring the UAE government’s proactive stance in promoting harmonious living. Through national initiatives such as the National Festival of Tolerance and the Year of Tolerance (2019), the UAE has championed policies that combat discrimination, promote equality, and instill values of acceptance in both nationals and expatriates. The Year of Tolerance highlighted these values globally, culminating in the signing of the historic Document on Human Fraternity between Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, establishing a global framework for peaceful interfaith dialogue. The Emirates Association for Tolerance and Happiness is working hard to promote and consolidate the principles of tolerance and happiness, as described by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, "may God protect him", is a country of tolerance and happiness, which is felt and lived by citizens and residents on the territory of the country, of different nationalities and from all over the world, amid a large number and a flow of cultures, civilizational identities and different races, as it brings together more than 200 nationalities, living and working here. Love, happiness, respect, tolerance, coexistence, cooperation, hard, diligent and sincere work remain under the roof of the UAE and in light of its civilization, in order to provide a new model of sustainable development, tolerance and happiness for human civilization and the peoples of the world.
